On Sunday the 17th October 2010, our Cub Scouts will be taking part in the Houghton Feast Sponsored Walk. A 5 mile walk in and around the Herrington Country Park, a great challenge for all.

Their willingness and enthusiasm for this walk clearly demonstrates their commitment to the Cub Scout Law, everyone of our group will DO THEIR BEST, be taking part so that others will benefit, PUTTING OTHERS FIRST, AND DOING A GOOD TURN.

5 Miles is no easy feat, especially for this age group, so please join me in wishing our Cubs good luck and a big well done.

The walk kicks off from the Main Building car park in Herrington Country Park at 1pm, Cubs, families and anyone wishing to give our youngsters some well deserved support, should aim to be their for 12:45pm.

There's still time for anyone wishing to donate to or sponsor our team or an individual your generosity will be greatly received.

All proceeds will be kept by the 1st Eppleton, for the benefit of 1st Eppleton.

A big thanks also to our Cubs and their families who attended and took part in the Lantern Parade at Houghton feast opening ceremony, and the main Feast Parade on the Saturday, our Cubs did Eppleton proud.
